Awkwafina was initially a American performer and rapper, releasing sly tracks that tackled topics like racial or sexual identity with a comedic twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer had the opportunity to release a number of songs. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was just a teenager. She had a breakthrough role in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
