Awkwafina
Awkwafina was initially a American performer and rapper, releasing sly tracks that tackled topics like racial or sexual identity with a comedic twist. Before expanding to Hollywood the singer had the opportunity to release a number of songs. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was just a teenager. In college, she focused on her studies, and then majored both in women's study and journalism. For a brief period during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. Her focus shifted to music only after she completed her degree. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The song was specifically linked to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her travel guide for 2015. As a musician and an author in her portfolio, she decided to set her sights on an actor for a third venture. In addition to early series, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. She had a breakthrough role in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
