Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a famous American performer and actress. Bell is a Michigan native, born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen was able to show a flair in the performing arts from a young stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent when she was 13, and she got her first role in newspaper advertisements and television commercials. As well as having private lessons in acting, she launched her career at that time. Bell had an uncredited role in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band as well as the drama club. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school and she won the part as Dorothy. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts for a musical theater course following her the completion of her studies. Bell dropped out of her studies in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky, a character from Tom Sawyer. Her first film credit with Pootie Tang at the beginning of 2001. Her scene, however it was cut and her appearance only appears in the final credits. Bell played in the Broadway revival The Crucible starring Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
